Barenboim and State Orchestra at the Funkhaus
Under direction of Daniel Barenboim, Berlin’s State Orchestra rehearsed a cycle by Beethoven/Bruckner at Hall 1 (“Großer Sendesaal”) which was later performed at Berlin’s “Philharmonie” from June 20-27, 2010.
At the same time – also under Daniel Barenboim’s direction – “Deutsche Grammophon” together with the State Orchestra and Bass-Baritone René Pape recorded extracts from operas by Wagner. The CD will be released at the end of the year.
